The letterforms of S.H. de Roos

Sjoerd Hendrik de Roos was a socialist, lithographer and type designer who desired to make "letterforms for society". He lived from 1877 to 1962, starting his professional career as a lithographer, and then developed an interest in the Arts and Crafts movement. He studied at the Kunstambachten (The school of Drawing), and later went to work for the type foundry
