Design Iterations - The Making of Bushakan

One of the exciting things about being a designer is the continued development of an idea.  When my co-founder and I started Bushakan, we were primarily interested in making stands that held multiple pairs of eyewear.  As we started sharing the idea with both individuals and retailers, we realised that there was a void in the market for more versatile stands.  Within a relatively short span of time, we were able to develop a full line of eyewear stands. The use of digital fabrication tools was a huge asset throughout this process as we were able to go through the cycle of design, fabricate, modify and iterate in quick succession. The images below show two of the stands that are now available through our Kickstarter campaign. We learnt a lot through this process and are currently working on ways to share this knowledge.
